The GeForce 8800M GTS and GTX unveiled by NVIDIA

NVIDIA announced their latest laptop GPUs: the GeForce 8800 GTS and GeForce 8800 GTX, which are the base of Alienware systems. Those are the fastest GPUs for notebooks, as it is said. The 8800M GTX has 96 processors, while the GTS has only 64. Although this is a big difference between them, they are almost identical. This GPUs have the full support of DirectX 10, an HD decoding engine, Pure Video, a memory of 512MB and the PowerMizer technology, which creates a balance between the life of the battery and the GPU performance. Alienware isn’t the only company that has its laptops equipped with the 8800 GTX and GTS. Gateway, Eurocom and Sager laptops use this GPUs in North America and a lot of other companies in the whole world.
