LG Prada (aka KE850) Review

What you would like about it ?
The LG Prada has an awesome design , very stylish and trendy . Everybody will turn their heads after your cellphone . You will enjoy the 3-inch display and the touch screen will impress you very much . It also has a 2 mp photo camera to catch everything you want on your phone , music player and document viewer .

What you maybe would not like about it ?
This cellphone doesn’t have 3G like most of the new modern cellphones . While the touch screen interface isn’t too difficult to use some buttons can be a little bit too hard to press .And the microsd card slot is unfortunately located behind the battery .

All in all
The LG Prada may impress by its design , but its price is too big for its simple features . But if you don’t care about the phone’s features and just of the design , this cellphone may be the best for you !

The new line of LG phones is very trendy . All the new phones from them ( LG Chocolate , LG Shine , LG Prada ) offer us a sexy design that everyone will love . It’s no wonder, then, that Prada-one of the world’s premier fashion houses–has chosen to partner with LG to produce the very first Prada-branded cell phone . Even the LG KE850 looks very good ,don’t expect to do many things with it . Even it has a big price , it has few features that most of the cheaper phones have . The opening price is somewhere around 850 $ . Pretty much for what this phone can do .

The Design
We just talked and talked about the design .. maybe because this can be the best thing at this cellphone . We can say with no fear that this Prada phone is the stylish phone ever … suitable for all genders . The phone has a minimalist design, with smooth rounded corners and a touch of silver adorning its sides . It just looks like a high-class thing . The box’s design that you buy the phone in it has an awesome design too . It is just like a jewelry box , black with a leather that is typed on “Prada” . Pretty , I can say . The phone is also very very small . It is 13 inches wide by 3.89 inches tall by 0.47 inch deep and weighing in at a scant 3 ounces . Because is so slim you can talk it everywhere in all kinds of pockets , just try not too lose it ! .
Maybe the best feature at this is the enormous touch screen display ( 3 inch )that supports 256,000 colors ( you will love how the colors are shown on this display ) . You can adjust the brightness and back light time but , unfortunately , you can’t change the font size, but it won’t bother you because the default font is really nice . You can also choose you perfect theme that you think it matches you from a variety of many many many themes (like an example .. one theme has a background fish that moves by your finger , interesting ,no ? ) .
Unfortunately the phones doesn’t come with an digital pencil , and you should just use your finger on the touch screen display to surf the menu and do everything you want . Also you should just train a little because most of the features work just by the touch screen and not by the few buttons you have , so you should manage to call and write without any other buttons . But the screen sensitivity is just right and you will not have any problem with the touch screen . At sending an SMS is a little bit harder . It’s almost like any phone , but don’t forget . Here you have touch screen ! So when you will write something you will do it by your finger ,moving along the digital keyboard . Here you should have a bit of precision and you should be careful , it takes a time to manage sending an sms in the best way .
Below the display are the Send, Clear, and End/Power keys, which are a little hard to press because they’re a little too skinny . The left spine of the phones has the location for charging or a joystick , the volume and the sound profile key for the Mp3s . On it’s back it has the 2 mp camera lens , with a little mirror to take photos of you (or you with some friends) . It also has a minisd card slot , but it’s located behind the battery , a little bit tricky .

Features
As I said the LG Prada (aka KE850) has an awesome design but its features are few for its big price . Let’s talk step by step . First of all the Prada has a large 1,000-entry phone book with room in each entry for four numbers, an e-mail address, and a memo . You can save contacts by groups ( example : family , friends , bla bla ) so you would be organized , and you can assign them a photo too , to know who is the person that calls you . You can assign each person a special polyphonic song , to know who calls just listening the song . This cellphone also supports mp3 music , so it can be a modern mp3 player too . Other important features may be the vibrate mode, sms , multimedia message an alarm clock, a calculator, a world clock, a unit converter, and a calendar . The fm radio works just if you have the handset attached , this is a bad for it . A good feature is the document viewer, which you can use to view Office documents . Perfect for businessmen . Even it has EDGE .. for such an expensive phone we would expect to have 3G too to make video conferences calls .
This phone also comes with a very good 2Megapixels camera , that takes pics very well . It has a plenty of camera settings too . The maximal resolution is 1600×1200 but you can take vga pictures too at the resolution of 320×240 pixels . So , this phone can be compared with a still camera too , because of it’s picture’s quality that will impress you .
The music menu on this phone is interesting too . You can do many things with your music ( play, pause, fast forward, and repeat/shuffle your playlists ) it’s simple but stylish . The phone supports MP3 WAV, AAC, AAC+, and AAC++ files , this is a good for it . You don’t need any special softwares too ! You have just to attach your phone to the computer via USB cable and drag and drop everything you want to your phone . The LG Prada even has a video player that can playback MP4 files .
Unfortunately on this phone you can’t impress by your originality because of it’s low features . But one thing is for sure on this phone . You won’t get bored . It has 4 interesting games that you would play every time you want, and you can even download more .

Performance
The triband (GSM 900/1800/1900) is pretty good . The call quality is very good , clear and soft like the phone . About the speaker quality we can’t say much , it’s not that good . And the audio from mp3s sounds almoust the same . About it’s battery we can say that is good . They said you can talk up to 3 hours without recharging and it has 12.5 days of standby time.
